I cannot eat any type of peppers - chile, red, etc., but I liked the thought of a crockpot recipe. I agree with the first reviewer that wasting a filet mignon is ridiculous, so I used an entire london broil, and substituted a 1/2 of a small 8 oz. jar of sweet and sour sauce for the chile and red pepper flakes. I also didn't serve this as an appetizer, I served it as a dinner. Cooked it on low for 7 hours...

This was DELICIOUS! I should have added more sweet and sour, maybe 3/4's of the jar, and I served it over spaghetti. Of course, my recipe defeats the show's premise of it all being healthy! Anyhow, it was good, and I will most definitely make this again, this time with rice.

What a tragedy (not talking about her hair to do this to a filet. Even on the episode the result is grey and not appetizing in appearance. Full disclosure, I have not and would NEVER do this to a nice filet. A crock pot?? Her cooking makes me want to work out harder.
