the sour cream did not go in smoothly. It looked like little balls of sour cream. Very bland and I used mushrooms..Didn't love it

This strognaoff was so good!!! I only wish that the meat I had was a bit more tender however, the sauce was really good.

i saw the show & immediately cooked it up that night. I served as a side fresh collard greens with cubed turnips as well. I had never seen Claire as I'm not a foodie chanel watcher but am soo glad I watched her episode. I did use some fresh mushrooms. I think most cooks would know to add a few other items if they wanted The whole purpose in her recipes is showing people they don't have to have alot of items and time to prepare a delicious home cooked meal. So the idea that she is too limited misses the point. Tonight I'm making the BORSCHT! ;-}

I saw the show on Sunday 12/19/2010 with my husband. and I cooked it for lunch. It was so simple and easy. I thought I made a mistake because there were only 5 ingredients. Thank you Claire!

Recipe is good. I understand it's only 5 ingreds. so she's limited. I would saute some mushrooms w/the onions and add about 2 TB of tomato paste to the sauce when adding the broth. Too bad she's limited.
