I recently saw this episode and HAD to try them, my one niece is a dried cranberry addict and the other is a chocoholic and I love oatmeal cookies (but hate that everyone uses rasins so these are the PERFECT fit! I made them to recipe the first time except that I didn't have a 4oz scoop so I used a 1/4 cup measuring cup instead (I like big cookies it made about 10-12 cookies. I have a convection oven and left the temperature at 350, they took about 30 minutes at this size. They came out slightly crisp (not burned on the outside and tender on the inside! The girls went wild and they were gone in 2 days. We decided to make a double batch, I bought a bulk bag of the recomended chocolate chips instead of the chocolate bar and put almonds in one of the batches - super good! I like the chips better! Needless to say these cookies are now a staple in my "cookie jar" and has won the hearts of my teenage nieces!

The. Best. Cookies. Ever. Honestly -- made them for Christmas and they were a total hit -- chewy and wonderful. Have promised to make 2 batches next year -- one with milk chocolate for my changling sister who likes that sort of thing.

Made with white choc chips instead of choc chunks. Perfect fresh out of oven, a bit dry next day butl still excellent flavor.

Very good! I used Ghiradelli 60% Cacao chips and replaced the butter with coconut oil. I think I will make them smaller next time because they are very dense and filling. We ended up breaking them in half to eat them.

I found these cookies to be very dry and disappointing. I followed the recipe exactly and was not happy with the results.

Good cookie. I made them smaller and cooked for 10 minutes. Made 40 cookies. Will make again.

OMG. These cookies are yummy. I didn't have time to look at all the reviews, but has anyone tried adding orange zest? I figured orange goes well with cranberries and chocolate.

Delicious! I actually made my cookies smaller, which turned out 40 instead of 12. I believe this cut down on possible dryness as I saw in previous comments. They will instantly make your house smell like "home;" warm, fuzzy feeling and all. :

This recipe tasted incredible! I did make a change though, I didn't have the 60% bittersweet chocolate so I improvised. I only had chocolate kisses so I took about a dozen of them and cut them into chunks and they tasted wonderful! I also chose to make the cookies smaller so that I could have more of them. Thank you Giada for this tasty recipe!
