One of the best, if not THE best, scones I've ever eaten! I made the recipe as is and the scones turned out beautifully! SOOOOO full of flavor and so moist and flaky, yet just crisp enough on the outside. This recipe is a definite KEEPER! I will make this a part of my regular menu routine!

For someone who easily turns every biscuit receipe into paving stones I was doubtful about doing this one. HOWEVER ... did this one with ease! And EVERYONE loves these! I feel like an accomplished breadmaker.

I only used half of the required buttermilk because the dough was very wet and used more flour when rolling them out. My concern was that I would have a tough scone. Not the case at all. Although I had to cook them for about 35 minutes they turned out flakey and flavourful. I will make them again.

I diced up some sharp cheddar and skipped the spinach simply because that's what I had in the fridge. They turned out absolutely delicious, but kind of chewy and not as flaky as I would have hoped. It was, however, my first attempt at any kind of scones, so I'm not sure what went wrong.

I havent made the scones yet, but I will soon. I think this was one of the best diners ever shown, that lady is very inventive! I'd take a road trip just to try the food. Wonder how her new endeavor is doing? the B&B in Texas(?

Here's the trick to baking these yummy scones: they need to be baked in the CONVECTION mode. I cooked the first half of the batch and was perplexed when they took 45 minutes and didn't brown. I decided to use the convection mode for the second batch and they came out perfectly. Guest what? The recipe states: "Preheat the convection oven to 350 degrees F."
If you use the convection setting, you will have scones that are brown and crispy on the outside and perfectly done on the inside! Bon appetit!

I am eating one of these right now, and it is SO GOOD! We used a little bit less butter than the recipe calls for, and one less egg, and it still is very very delicious, moist and buttery : this is so good!
