Good dish for fish : Kids ate it well and so did husband (whom is a non-fish sort of guy. Made the recipe as it stands except using average joe chili powder rather than Ancho chili powder. Loved the sauce personally and so did husband, but kids being kids, used ranch dressing instead.

I am a fish taco lover and these were fantastic! I used an extra clove of garlic in the sauce and made sure to add salt where specified (because some fish tacos can be bland and YUM! I used red snapper and it cooked up perfectly on the stove top as directed. Will definitely add this recipe to my repertoire for quick weeknight dinners. Thank you for sharing!

I followed the recipe and don't know what went wrong. I thought they were very bland. I could not find the peppers so I went without......but I have a hard time believing that could make that much of a difference.

Yummy! I used cod, which I baked in the oven covered in the oil/spice mixture. I loved the mayo recipe part too, I'll use this in future on other recipes too, it's fabulous.

I was absolutley pleased with how this dish turned out. I used mahi mahi and it turned out beautifully. I was unable to find ancho chile powder in our local market so I substituted a california chile powder and it was still delicious. I also had some shrimp so I used the marinade on that too and that was just as tasty. My favorite part was the mint in the sauce. I didn't quite use 8 sprigs but it still added a terrific flavor. Thanks Aarti.

Far above ANY fish tacos I've had! I love fish tacos and order them a lot when we eat out but none even come close to these. I get asked to make these often at family events. After making them several times now I've made a few minor tweaks that I find make them better and easier. 1. I bake the fish (others here suggested this. It's easier and the fish comes out so flakey/juicy every time. 2. I add juice of 1/2 lime to the marinade for the fish. 3. I use HALF SOUR CREAM and half mayo for the sauce. This makes it less heavy, gives a nice tang and is healthier. I think yogurt would be good too and I'd even try all yogurt in place of mayo. Finally, the perfect garnish to elevate it is mango salsa w/ lime and cilantro. Thanks Aarti for another great dish that's a staple on our family menu :-

Best fish tacos we've ever had! My husband, daughter and I loved them. It's quick, easy and absolutely delicious. It's actually what's on the menu for tonight. Yum!

This is so tasty. I use to make the husband go out to eat to have fish tacos but now I know I can make them at home. They are so easy to make. I also added avocado and it just added more creaminess.
