This is great, almost like a dessert. Use wheatberries they are great and goat cheese. We ate the whole bowl too. I used spearmint, that is what is growing in our garden.

Delicious dressing, very light and refreshing. We did not have wheat berries or goat cheese in the house so I substituted romaine lettuce and cream cheese. Three of us ate the entire bowl for lunch. Look forward to trying this bowl with Goat Cheese. The tang will be a nice contrast.

What kind of mint? Peppermint or Spearmint? I grow both, which is better for this recipe?

I made half of this recipe soaking the wheat berries in water overnight (since I could only find the hard wheat berries and half of it cooking as the recipe stated; soaking was definitely needed for the hard variety as after 2 hours of cooking the non-soaked ones they were still too hard. I added double strawberries and extra OJ and Agave since it seemed too salty to me. Next time I'll cook in water only since I think cooking them in chicken stock may have added a little too much salt to the dish. Two of my 3 preschoolers enjoyed the dish with my changes and even my hubbie (who doesn't like fruit in his food liked it (which is a glowing endorsement!. I served it with garlic-lemon broccoli and chicken that I marinated in white balsamic, olive oil, fresh thyme, rosemary, garlic, S&P and then squirted with fresh OJ after grilled and it all went very well together. Thanks Giada for the great idea on a healthy side for dinner!

This was a tasty dish. I didn't have goat cheese, but did have fresh mozzarella. It was very filling, but the dressing was refreshing. My husband and I both really liked it. It was great left over for lunches, too!

I really enjoyed this recipe. I had never eaten wheat berries before. I love the texture and how filling they are. I think the recipe needs more goat cheese and strawberries, though. That's a lot of wheat berries. Also, the second day the strawberries are a bit sad looking, but it didn't stop me from eating it! The only thing I did differently was to use vegetable broth instead of chicken broth. (Good idea that saaaron has.

I added dried cranberries to this and only also halved it before adding the strawberries so that when I ate it the next day I could use fresh strawberries and avoid mushy ones. Even my 9 year old liked it.

This looked so fun and pretty that I had to make it as soon as I saw it air. Pretty much every Giada recipe that I've ever made would get 5 stars, but there was something that wasn't working for me in this receipe. Love the wheatberry, strawberry, goat cheese combination, but I think it's the mint/orange combo that was a little off to me. I think on the show she said 2 tsp (not tbsp of Agave, so I only used 2 tsp - same with the orange zest.
