It was very good. I doubled the recipe because we are a family of 6. I ran out of Vegetable stock, so I used water. (8 C stock, 4 C water It had very good flavor. I even forgot the Serrano and was worried I ruined it, but it was still very delicious. I did sprinkle some cumin and several shakes of Tapatio hot sauce to make up for the Serrano, maybe thats why I didnt' lose the flavor. But, overall, this was extremely easy and had wonderful flavors. Thank you so much!

This was delicious! My husband kept saying how delicious it was. It was also very inexpensive to make. I would recommend making a double batch and freezing since you will already have enough of the vegetables to make a second batch. I used two jalapenos instead of one serrano and I tripled the tomato paste. Salt and pepper to taste. I also used whole wheat rice which took a little longer to cook but healthier. Might have added a few more poatoes as well since I LOVE potatoes. YUMMEEE!

This recipe was delicious! I am use to calling it, anbondigas. Its a fav in my family especialy during the cold winter months. One thing I did change was I used chicken stock instead of the recommened veg stock. But one thing I will do next time is add a little bit of white rice into the soup it self as well as make it a little spicy. Very glad your show is back on the air, missed you when you were gone : Keep the delicious Mexican recipes coming.

This is exactly how my mom made the albondiga soup growing up so when I told her I saw it on the show, she made it the next day and it brought back memories. This is an authenic soup. You can tweak it to your liking but it's yummy just the way it is.

This recipe is fantastic! I omitted the cilantro and substituted garlic because I do not care for cilantro and love garlic. I also used beef stock instead of vegetable and added a dash of hot sauce. I especially love the meatballs because they are made without bread crumb, but with rice which is great for a no flour diet. Over all, super awesome recipe and I will make it again and again!

Delicious soup! My husband made this, so I don't know if he made any adjustments, but he usually does when he "follows" a recipe. He made chicken broth using chicken bones we had leftover, and the broth was soo flavorful and delicious! The meatballs were very good, but I like small meatballs in soup. My suggestion is to roll them really small/bitesize. Wonderful soup! Will definitely make again!

This was a great soup!! My husband is from Mexico and couldn't believe how good it was. The first time I made it I had to cook the soup longer than 20 min. because the rice was not cooked. It took about an hour. The second time I cooked it I was going to double the recipe and did 1 lb of ground beef & 1 lb of ground turkey. Not recommended. The turkey has no flavor, it just wasn't the same. I will keep making this just as the recipe says!! Yummy!!
