You must make this! Was incredibly delicious and so easy! Followed the recipe but only had one fennel bulb. Still it was incredible! Tasted even better the following day! Thanks Giada!

A bit time consuming to chop and prepare before getting it into the oven, but one of the best roasts I've ever tasted. The gravy was magnificent; I could have eaten it with a spoon. Prepared brown rice, roasted butternut squash and a lovely salad to complement this wonderful entree. Thanks Giada!

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. I have a pot roast recipe that I thought was really good but wanted to try something differenc and I am sooooo glad that I did. My husband does not like pot roast (his mother used to cook it to death. I also took a trick from Pioneer Woman and cut it up (it really fell apart into 1" chunks and tossed it with the gravy. My hubby's response after eating this was "this is the ONLY way this should be prepared.
    Thanks again Giada

I followed this recipe exactly and used the cipollini onions. It was absolutely delicious! It was worth every minute it took to prepare and cook. I will make this again and again. Giada, you are a genius.

Very good recipe. Simple to make with some complex flavors. Used a cabernet versus the sherry, but otherwise followed completely. The sauce makes an excellent sauce for egg noodles if you want a starch to go with it.

Delicious! I made this for my mom and sister...my mom is a very good cook who was skeptical because of the cooking time that it would be tough...it wasn't at all!!!! Everyone loved it! I would like to know the cooking times if you decreased the size of the meat...so I'm experimenting tonight with a 3/4 lb chuck...we'll see!

Absolutely delish! Was well worth running all over town looking for fennel and onions! Have the herbs in the garden! Made the herbed flat bread as well! Yummy! Wish I would have invited company over so I could brag! Will make again!so long as I can find the onions and fennel in town! YUM!
