This was perfect with the beef recipe. The only problem was we kept eating them right as they came off the stove because they were delicious :

These are amazingly simple. Apparently I have quite the knack for rolling the dough just right. I didn't even have to hold mine down anywhere for them to puff. I dipped mine in the mango onion gravy from the pretzel-fried steak and mango chutney (which I have discovered I really like.

I always thought that Indian breads were intimidating to make, but with this recipe, not so! It was great!

I just watch Aarty for the first time. Indian food has always intimidated me... though I love eating it... Aarty made it fun, and I can't wait to serve this to my friends for our next wine tasting dinner! Served with Syrah of course! Thanks Aarty.

I think the reviews are meant for rating the recipes. If you don't like the host/show, don't watch it. You don't HAVE to pass your sour attitude on to the rest of us who do enjoy it. I find Aarti to be an appealing host, knowledgeable and able to communicate her techniques well. She's a happy person. She enjoys what she's doing & it shows. She's able to laugh at herself, as well, & that's always appealing. I tried the Chapatis myself this morning & they ARE good! Of course, mine didn't look as good as Aarti's & weren't as flaky as I'd hoped. It'll take some practice, but like she said, they were still Dee-lish!

OK, I went directly to my kitchen to make these. We had your red lentil soup for lunch and I wanted to serve these as well. Your directions were perfect and I used a pampered chef small rolling pin. They came out GREAT!
