This is a great little cookie, you don't taste the coconut too much until after you chewed it and all the other stronger flavors fade out. It was fun and super easy to make. I don't think it was too much butter, mine were not chewy because I left them in and just watched them to they were just getting past the golden brown. I took the whole parchment paper off with the cookies still on it and they cooled super fast. The chocolate I made in a double boiler and it came out perfect. I think if you cook them for the right amount of time (might just need to babysit them then they won't be too greasy or chewy and they will be perfect.
Overall I give it 4 stars it was a great little recipe but it didn't knock my socks off.
I would make it again ..maybe.

Saw it on Gaidas show while working out at the gym and i am not much of a baker ...it scares me !!! But decided to give it a shot since it looked easy...
The first batch came out well...Perfect just like on TV..I could get only 10 cookies...It spreads a lot.
The second batch they got overdone and some even got burnt and i dont know why...But will be sure to make it again. My hubby loved it and i plan to master making it !!

This is a really rich, chewy cookie. One commenter said it just tasted like butter and brown sugar and she's not that far off. It is a lot of butter and they are very greasy AND they stick to my teeth while eating them. Ended up only baking most of them for 7 minutes..any longer than that and they got crunchy, which I didn't like. I was making them to give for Valentine's Day. I'm still not sure whether or not I will give them for presents or not.

I loved the cookies. They were easy to make (with my daughters, tasty and not time consuming. I used an disposable aluminum cookie sheet without parchment paper. The cookies spreaded a lot; so the next time I wont use as much butter. They were also easy to remove from the pan! Additionally, I made carmel sause (sugar, butter & water over medium heat to a golden/medium carmel color to drizzle over the cookies. Honestly, the cookies are great without the carmel sauce or the recommended chocolate drizzle.

very simple...but mine spread out alot! i have a small oven so i probably should have done these in smaller batches....and they are super thin...think maybe my oven was too hot as well so the outer edges started to burn a little...my hunny loves coconut (i am not a fan but maybe i can try these again..

These cookies were delicious and so simple to make! They are perfect with a cup of coffee or tea! They were very sweet so I may make them smaller the next time. Also, keep an eye on them as they bake so that they don't burn, they cook quickly! ENJOY!

The easiest recipe ever. It's better if left in refrigerator. I am just not crazy about the butter crust at the bottom when it chills. I wish I could mak eit with less butter. Perfect as an ending to a wine tasting party.

i made 2 batches of these cookies maybe i messed something up but they would not come off the partchment paper. i tried letting them cool first. i tried taking them off before they cooled but they were so thin they just fell apart. what i could get off tasted great. any suggestions?
