I've made this recipe twice and both times the sponge cakes did not rise like they appear in the picture. The first time the were absolutely flat. The second time they were fluffier, but still no where close to peeking over the side of the ramekins. Regardless of the state of fluff, they were delicious. I really enjoyed the topping of sourcream and brown sugar.

Very light and delicate cakes. I think they would be even better served with some chocolate sauce and strawberries.

Eh it was okay. It's better with ice cream when its warm....left overs were gross.

This was fantastic! We topped it off with a dollop of vanilla yogurt and it was perfect.

So very yummy! You mentioned in the show that it's based off a lemon version a fan sent you... do you think you could post that one too? I love lemon!

Good....but rich. Without the sour cream it would've been a little much for me, I do not like chocolatey things that are super rich though. I did enjoy it, but perhaps next time I may add a little less cocoa.

A great healthier alternative to Ina Garten's brownie pudding. I added a 1/4 cup of leftover strong brewed coffee adding a wonderful depth to the chocolate.

Outstanding and simple desert! I followed the instructions with a few modifications and it came out perfect! I used sweetened coco instead of unsweetened, so I cut back on the sugar to 2-3 tbls instead of the 1/4 cup. Also, instead of the brown sugar I added sweetened coco (to taste for the sour cream topping. Getting the egg whites really stiff is the key to the fluffiness of this desert (thanks to "Onlycookinthehouse" for making that point! I will definitely be making this desert again. Thanks Melissa!
