Omit the egg and use Special Dark Coaoa and you have a great brownie in a cup.

I wanted cake for a chocolate fondue for 2 in a pinch. I didn't want to dip chocolate cake so I halved the ingredients and omitted the coco powder. I added 2 TBSP of peanut butter to one half, and about 1/8 cup coconut cream instead of milk in the other half and a bit more flour, "baked" them in ramekins and they turned out fabulous! I will make this again as it's just perfect for a couples dessert!

    GREAT TO MAKE WITH KIDS!!!
What a great recipe to make with kids! I am a Girl Scout leader and I made this desert with my girls at a meeting to fulfill a requirement. The recipe allowed me to teach them how to measure both liquids and solids. The great thing was that they all made their own individual cake and they were fast! We added chocolate chips for extra fun and sweetness, put the hot steaming cake over vanilla ice cream! Extremely yummy and fun!

If you are in one of those choclate craving moods, but don't have the time or the ingrediants to bake, this recipe solves it all! I made some changes like adding a pinch of cayenne pepper and chocolate chips. This recipe even taste better with icecream and choclate syrup. It is not the greatest cake but surely satisfied me and my cravings!!!

It was easy to put together, but more info would make it a better dessert. You don't list the wattage for the microwave. I have a 1100 watt and it ruined the cake. So now I have to figure out when I make it again, to adjust the setting of time and power level. I mixed it up in my 2-cup glass measure cup then poured into my mug, just a suggestion to others! It was kind of bland also, so I will look for additional ingredients to make it a better tasting cake.

This was so quick, easy and delicious. I did take others suggestions and put my own twist on it.

I put the following into a small bowl:
    1/4 cup flour
    1 egg
4 TBLS sugar (1 T less then recipe called for
    3 TBLS cocoa powder
    2 TBLS 1 percent milk
1 TBLS Caramel Almond Coffee creamer
2 TBLS oil (half of what the recipe called for
    1/8 teas. baking soda
    pinch of salt
    dash of vanilla extract

Mixed well in a small bowl and then poured it into a medium size ramekin.
    Cooked for 1 minute.
*I will make this alot this winter!!

I liked this recipe. As usual though, I altered the recipe to suite my tastes. With a 1200 watt microwave oven, the cake cooked too much and I smelled burnt chocolate, not a pleasant odor.

I altered it by adding 1/8 teaspoon baking soda and using a jumbo egg and adding only two tablespoons of oil. I also add a handful of chocolate chips after the cake is cooked. I cooked the cake for 1 minute and 10 seconds. Afterward, I added the chocolate chips and slightly stirred them into it. Yummy!
