Delicious and easy to make! I made some changes. I don't have a grill pan so I just cooked the chicken. I used chicken breasts instead of thighs, nonfat half and half instead of the cream and canned diced tomatoes instead of the fresh tomatoes. But still delicious! And my 2 year old loved it too!! Thanks Aarti! I'll definitely be making this again!

Oh My GOODNESS!! This was SO delicious! I loved the sauce! I'm so happy that Aarti is making me feel like I really can cook Indian food - something that seemed so foreign to me previously. The entire family loved this! My husband is SO picky, but he is Mexican so I figured Indian spicy should be appealing to him, and sure enough it was! He put his Chicken Tikka into a corn tortilla and declared it a winner. Fusion at home!

Fabulous! I used 2 serranos without the seeds and ribs and it was definitely spicy enough but not so spicy that my 11 and 4 year old girls wouldn't eat it (they do like spicy. I didn't use the ginger garlic paste but did them separately. Also used fat free half and half instead of cream. Since tomatoes are not in season in NJ in March I used fire roasted from the can. I paired this with homemade naan from another cooking show and some jasmine rice.

Simple and good ... but way too much salt. Could easily halve the salt in the recipe and it would be fine. Still, a nice quick version of the dish that had a lot of depth.

Awesome, easy to make! My biggest challenge was using the garlic press. Everyone enjoyed it.

Delicious and will definately go in the regular dinner rotation. Simple to do. Could stand it a bit spicier (i.e., hotter. I used jalapenos since my market was out of serranos. Will use more jalapeno next time, if serranos are not available.

Thank you Aarti for making Indian cusine so accessible to the home cook!

Aarti, my friends and I adore you. My BF and I made an Indian feast last night using the recipes from this episode. They were so fantastic! Her husband raved and said we got the flavors just right. Her 5 kids, who can be picky eaters, scarfed it up. (Well, the chicken anyway, they still didn't like cauliflower tho. ; BF took a picture and posted it on her Facebook page, and then her teenage son posted a comment on how awesome it was. Thanks for demystifying Indian cuisine and making it accessable to the home cook. You rock!

Such an excellent and tasty recipe! My husband invited friends over for dinner unexpectedly on the night I was trying this recipe and everyone RAVED over it. I served it with green beans and Naan and rice. It was excellent and there was not a drop left over. Thanks for such a great recipe, and not all that complicated either! The garlic- ginger paste is yummy too!

I join w/all the other reviewers in saying this dish was amazingly good (my husband was neutral on it. I spent a lot of time preparing this, partly because I had to trim alot of fat from the chicken thighs I had... One could certainly make the sauce ahead of time and freeze it so prep time would be cut back a little. I am going to try chicken breasts next time. I used a jalapeno instead of the serrano, and it was spicy enough for us. I made the entire menu that Aarti did on the show, except I used brown basmati rice. The califlower/potato dish, and the mango-lime lassi really enhanced the whole menu. As she said on her show, this is a good introduction to Indian food for anyone who isn't used to it. Thanks, Aarti

OMG - this was GREAT! Had no idea it would be THIS DELISH! Just wish I'd picked up the spice kit at World Market - it had the fenugreek leaves. Can't wait to see what that adds to the dish. Thanks Aarti! I think you are such a breath of fresh air - so glad you are sharing your gifts with us all!
