WOW not what i was expecting at all. My wife has been trying to get me to make them for some time. Used my food mill with the course grate. Cant wait to see the faces of family and friends when i put this out. It has a slight sweet potato taste. YUMMY!!!

Used red skin potatoes in place of the gold. My husband has declared that rutabagas are now one of his favorites. Didn't use a food mill; only a potato masher amd the recipe worked perfectly. We had never had rutabagas before -- Thanks Anne!

I have Swedish heritage and the rutabaga is also called Swede in the Scandanavian countries. I grew up eating this, especially in the fall and winter since we had a cool root cellar. Nothing better to side with dinner. Thanks Anne for reintroducing this grreat veggie.

I am a lover of Rutabaga anyway so this was a natural for my family. I had company over and have introduced them to Rutabaga in the past and they too love it. The mashed potatoes and rutabaga dish was delicious and I got rave reviews. My friend even asked if she could have the leftovers to take home! She is a genlte soul and so I know she loved the dish if she asked for a doggy bag! YUM!!!!

Top notch...I've made it three times in 2 months! Excellent flavor and goes very well with the pork loin...
