My 14-year old granddaughter baked this cake. It was easy and very, very good. It was even better the next day. I will definitely keep this in my menu planner. Thanks, Sandra.

I have been making a similar recipe for years. I do not use the coconut but I do use more vanilla. If you want this to be a 5 star recipe all of the time do what I do, serve it frozen or semi frozen, it almost has the consistency of ice cream and my guests LOVE it! I also serve it with freh strawberries, you can't go wrong.

This cake was amazing! My husband loved it. It was quick, easy and delicious. I was worried it might not turn out as it was quite unique. I've never heard of a Tres Leches Cake so I didn't know what to expect. I will say that the homeade whipped cream needed to be a tad sweeter. It was a great consistency but needed just a little sugar. Will definitely make again!!

This cake is very easy to make and affordable and definitely something 'different' to serve to guests. I did not use the coconut as my family doesn't like it and it was still delicious. I've never tried tres leche cake before, so i didn't really have anything else to compare it to, but we definitely liked it. I let it sit for a couple of hours before serving and it was good but really was much better after it sat overnight when we ate the leftovers the next night...and even better a couple days later. So, it's not really anything you'd want to quick whip up for dessert tonight. I'd suggest making the cake with milk mixture a couple days before you want to serve it. And next time i make it, i'll add a little sugar to the whipped topping or possible some lemon zest to jazz it up a bit since we didn't use the coconut. All in all, another great recipe from Sandra. :
