I have made this several times and always triple or quadruple the rub mix because I use it ALL THE TIME. The homemade cherry BBQ sauce is excellent, but when I don't have time to make it, I will use the rub and bottled BBQ sauce. This always gets rave reviews from my guests and I love making it during grilling season. People go crazy for it!

WOW!! This Cherry BBQ sauce was so thick, rich & a gorgeous color - I actually made a double batch to try on a pork tenderlion, it would be great on ribs too!! The drumsticks were a hit at a Superbowl get together - I served with the warm Cherry BBQ & fresh cherries. Definitely a keeper!! Thanks Gina & Pat!

Excellent sauce. Used frozen sweet dark cherries for our recipe since my grocery didn't carry any other kinds of frozen cherries. We also thawed cherries in a strainer to drain the juice left behind to avoid too much sweetness. Our only issue is that the yield is more like 16 to 18 servings if you don't use much for dipping sauce, but it freezes well.

Finger-licking good! I used plums instead of cherries b/c I had some plums & didn't have cherries. It was fabulous.

This recipe was amazing! It made me get on here and make my first review. This was very easy, but took some time. The chicken rub was awesome and my husband griled the chicken just like we saw on TV. NOt only did this taste awesome, but it looked scrumptious as well. This was so great, my super picky sister even ate it!
I think this BBQ sauce would be perfect on ribs. This will be our next trial into Neely BBQ.

The chicken wasn't crispy. Kind of soggy. The bbq sauce was not all that good. I would have prefered KC Master Piece. Some guests at our party raved, only some. There was a lot of sauce left over.
