I really liked it and so did my wife. I did have to talk her into letting me put in the dijon mustard. A good thing Melissa expressly said not to worry about it since the tomatoes would cut the bite. For my taste, I would use a little less sour cream next time.

I am giving the chicken part of the recipe a 5, but the noodles get a 4 Star rating. The chicken was great, even tho we don't care much for thighs, the sauce was flavorful & disguised the thighs. We'd prefer chicken breast, but thighs save money. Loved the tarragon. We didn't think the bouillion & 1T. of sour cream imparted much flavor to the noodles, so next time, I'll save the effort & just butter the noodles & garnish w/parsley.

I usually find the recipes I want to try Disappointing. But this one was so good.
My family really liked it as did I. I only one thing I changed was the tarragon.
My oldest daughter does not like liquorish so I used Italian seasoning instead.
This will become a staple in my household. It is also so much better on day two.
Thank you, Melissa for the wonderful recipe.

Made this for dinner tonight and it was excellent!!!! Very flavorful! The only substitution I made was we put it over brown rice instead! This is a definite keeper! Thanks, Melissa!

Delicious and simple. I excluded sour cream,
mustard, and tarragon. Added Indian spices like
Cumin, coriander, turmeric, chili powder, and garam masala.
The mascato was the perfect white wine in the dish. The wine worked well with the Indian spices. I served the dish 24 hours after making it so the flavors really absorbed into the chicken. Lastly, I used foil to cover it in the oven since I didn't have a cover.
My family loved it, even my picky eater.

so eden, this recipe was free for me! i had everything already! my family liked it, kids loved the noodles. i might add bacon next time. i thought the dijon might need a little sweetness, and bacon is pretty much good in anything. other than that we all really liked it.

I made it as directed, but doubled it. This was delicious! The sauce was quite nice before adding the mustard and sour cream and I served my toddler this way. The rest of the family really enjoyed the finished dish.
$10 is a generality. She points out (often! to buy things like chicken on sale and freeze it. Buy wine in bulk to save(There fore you should have some on hand. To make substitutions to use ingredients that you do have. The frugality is not there if you are not taking advantage of sales and stocking up when prices are good. Most of her ingredients are things that I stock and have found her estimation of prices to be good.

This was great! Eden Prarie, get a life...the cost of ingredients is in the amounts, not based off a whole bottle of spice, or wine or whatever.
