I have to agree with other reviewers here, the Thyme was way too strong in this recipe (even my husband thought so and I swear he has no taste buds!. I've made other pot pie recipes before that didn't have any herb seasoning in it that were delicious, so I thought I'd try something new with this recipe—unfortunately I regretted it. I recommend cutting the amount of Thyme way down (or leave it out entirely. Once you do that, the recipe is a good one. It's hard to go wrong when puff pastry is involved—if you don't like the filling, at least you can eat the crust!

I doubled this recipe for am improptu crowd and it was fabulous. Tons of leftover topping which everyone spooned over the top (I was planning to buy more puff pastry and do it again but alas the filling was too good and they stole it all.

Simple, delicious taste that everyone loved. You cannot miss with this one....

This was so good I had to write my first review in years. Did as written except I put a quick splash of 1/2 &1/2 in the chx mixture that gave it a creamy gravy instead of sour taste from wine and mustard. Also used 1 t poultry seasoning (some said the thyme was too strong used a pinot grigro (some said too sour and this is sweeter than chard The filling would be good too on mashed potatoes for a change. It does take time though so don't be in a hurry. Prep in advance would help. try this!

Very easy and tasty. I may either subtract the mustard, or subtract a little of the wine and use chicken stock in its place next time. Also, 29 minutes was the absolute perfect cooking time in my oven. I may stop using other harder pot pie recipes altogether.

just finished eating the turnovers. My family hated them and I wound up throwing the rest away. I love all the recipes I get from here but this is one I will never make again. my family beg me to go back to my original chicken pot pie recipe. That was a lot of time and money to throw away. Sorry but this is not worth the time and money to make.
