I made this last night just as written and it was gobbled up by my picky 2- and 4-year-old. It tasted as good as the reviews indicated and my husband has requested that it join the working mom meal rotation.

This turnover tasted so good! The pastry was flaky and the filling was savory and delicious. This is definitely a recipe I will make over again. If you make this, make sure you DON’T confuse ground thyme with dried thyme. I put half a teaspoon of ground thyme because I didn't have dried and I thought the thyme flavor was a little strong, so next time I'll use 1/4 tsp ground thyme. I also added mushrooms to the filling after putting in the stock because I didn’t have enough chicken, and it still turned out great.

Simply the best rendition of a pot pie I have ever tasted. And it was, in fact, really easy! I substituted a little poultry seasoning for the thyme (just a few shakes, and I thought the flavors were just right. My 16 year old daughter raved, asked me to make them again, this week, and asked if she could invite her boyfriend over. I'm smiling from ear to ear. Thanks Melissa for another winner!

Creative. Easy. Excellent. This was a creative spin on chicken pot pie with amazing flavors! We do not prefer Thyme so I pretty much cut it out all together, but other than that, this dish was perfect. I would definitely recommend trying it. This is also the perfect dish when trying to use up leftover chicken and veggies.

It was pretty easy. I thought that the tyme was a bit overpowering. I would leave that out or add something in it's place. Probably won't do this one again. Was worth the try though.

It came out really good. I made a two changes. I have a big family so 9.00 for puff pastry was out of the question. I didn't want to spend that much if we didn't like it. I used rolled up pie shells out of the freezer section instead so I could make 8 turnovers for $3.00. I forgot to buy dijon mustard so I used creole mustard that I keep in the fridge. Came out so good. Kids were scooping the extra chicken out of the pan. I will make this again and try it with the puff pastry.
