These burgers were a big hit. However, I have modified the recipe to suit our familys personal tastes. I add 2 slices of bread, 1/4 cup of milk, salt, pepper, and fresh garlic to a small electric food chopper. I process it until it is a paste before mixing it into the ground meat. I sear the burgers for 3 and a half minutes on each side, before putting into a 350 oven for 6 mins. This way the burgers are extra juicy, tender, and done all the way through without the exterior meat being overcooked. It's a great way to cook thick burgers for those who like their meat well done yet juicy.

Insanely good! I put bacon crumbles and caramelized onions in the center with the cheeses of all kinds and...BOOM goes the flavor! Make sure the bacon and onions have cooled before you put them in the center. Also I have found that it helps to use wax paper to flatten the patties very thin, otherwise burgers end up freaking huge. It also helped me to make one patty bigger than the other one, that way I was able to roll the edges over better. Makes a better seal so that you can grill these rather than fry in a skillet or pan.

Some of the best burgers i have ever eaten. I topped with sautéed onions and jalapeños too and it added a great kick.

Delicious! Not sure why this is so much better than a cheeseburger, but it is.

Saw this on (was it Triple D? and have been wanting to try. Made them tonight and they were awesome. I had a little leakage toward the end of cooking, but technique will improve with time!
