Made this this morning for a church potluck; I didn't have time to do the crust, so I went w/a prepared one.The dulce de leche and whipped topping added just the right amount of sweetness and "something-something" to make it unique. People who don't normally eat BCP's said they REALLY liked this version. Winner, keeper, hit -- its all that and more. Thank you, Marcela -- you make me shine at church potlucks!

I made it the first time with de leche (exactly like sweetened condensed milk accidently. It was runny but tasted good. The second time, I made sure I bought DULCE de leche. This is very thick and carmel-like. It reminded me of Elvis Sandwiches with banana and peanut butter. It was very good once I got the recipe right!

Delicious and easy to make. My only problem was the pie was runny after cutting into it even after allowing it to chill for hours. Maybe I used too much leche. Will definitely try it again.

Very tasty and quick desert. I added toasted coconut shavings on both the bannana layer and on top of the finished pie.
