The blackberry/mint/iced tea combination is amazing. The bourbon blends in nicely, although we preferred it stirred in instead of floated on top.

This delightful and refreshing cocktail was well worth the blackberry picking scratches that come along with the task. I made this for my husband on a Monday afternoon and am happy to report that this blackberry tea made for a fantastic Monday evening.
The flavor was ripe and juicy, refreshing and a great treatment for bourbon, generally left sitting on the bar shelf until the cooler months roll around.
I will deffinately be keeping this recipe on hand. A+

Hmmmm. The color was gorgeous but the flavor of the tea a little bland. I don't know if lime is good with bourbon but I added a generous squeeze and the citrus brightened it up considerably. Also added a bit of sparkling water and with this and the lime, the drink was (in my opinion a lot better. I would make it again but only with the addition of the carbonation and the citrus. Fun twist on tea, though.

I am absolutely addicted to this during the hot summer months. If you are offering to guests, double the batch, it will go quickly. Woodford Reserve is great but Knob Creek might be a bit better as the bourbon. Use plenty of mint!

Very nice, well balanced and refreshing. But be careful, you'll want another. I made with Maker's Mark and Jack Daniel's. If you like this drink, you might also like to try Bobby's Kentucky 95 Brunch Cocktail

A delicious summer drink! A bit time consuming to make the base tea, but well worth the time and effort. Be sure to give yourself a day to rest and cool the tea. My husband and I tried the tea before putting in the alcohol and it was VERY sweet. Once the bourbon was added it mellowed out perfectly. We used Jim Beam and Jack Daniels (JD was sweeter and both worked well. I can't wait to share with friends!
