    This was a delicious cake. It was my first time making a chocolate cake from scratch and it was really easy. I added 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips and instead of frosting between the layers I did seedless raspberry preserves mixed with chocolate frosting. I used the chocolate frosting recipe by Cathy Lowe from this site. I will definitely make this again.

    Cake was good, not great.....too light and fluffy for me. I like cake to be richer. Would not make again.

    This cake is OUTSTANDING. I followed it to the T but did add some finely ground coffee beans to both the cake batter and frosting....LOVE LOVE LOVE
