This is an excellent recipe. Easy to make. Easily found ingredients. Easily enjoyed by all at my gatherings. I did double the recipe and mixed lime peel in with the cream mixture. We will enjoy this recipe often

We love the flavors in this, but it was too sweet for us, even with 25% less condensed milk and an extra lime. If I were to make it again, I would further adjust both of those. I did not have problems with the crackers floating, but I did use graham crackers. When I whisked up the two milks it was thick, but when I added the lime juice it got even thicker. Once it chilled in the frig all day, it was quite firm to scoop out. It tasted as good or better the second day, but some of the liquid did start separating. I think this could be 5 stars with some adjusting.

I made this but is something missing, maybe unflavored gelatin? It never set. I made it a second time with the same outcome. However, I will try again with the suggestion of more lime juice. The 3 limes I used only produced about 1/4 c of juice. Thanks.

I don't understand the problems with this dessert getting thick. Mine was thick in the blender and got more so after being refrigerated. I used small limes, and did not have a problem. On the show Marcela said the sweetened condensed milk was what made it thick. It was very good. A great warm weather dessert. I love your show!

The whole key to this recipe is the quantity of lime juice. THAT is what makes it set up. If you use 3 tiny limes, you'll have a runny mess. I bought my limes in a Mexican grocery and they were BIG- similar to a typical lemon. I would estimate that I had at least 2/3 cup if not 3/4 cup of lime juice in my blender and it was setting before I even poured it into the dish. The dessert is amazingly delicious and easy to prepare. TRY IT AGAIN if it did not work for you and use plenty of lime juice.

Before I made this I read the reviews and was a little nervous it would not set. It turned out perfect! Like everyone else says you need to make sure you blend longer than recommended.

I made this last night for a church potluck today, and not only were people asking for the recipe, but recommending it to others -- it is super simple, budget friendly, and not labor instensive. However, I must warn others to be careful when zesting, to not zest your fingers as well. I read other reviewers' advice, and blended it until it thickened, then did the dip test. Not only did it set extremely well overnight, but the flavors melded incredibly well. I doubled the recipe for the potluck, and the lime was just right. Some might want a more intense taste, 6 was good, and I used the juiced limes' zest instead of a separate one. I had no problem finding the Maria crackers, and I just layered them as I wanted to; did not have a problem with them rising to the top. Mind stayed hidden beneath the surface, and many comments were made on how it wasn't nauseatingly sweet, it was JUST RIGHT. Thank you, Marcela -- this is a definite keeper!

The most delicious and incredibly simple dessert we have experienced. We are serious foodies and this past the test for ease, taste and elegance. We served it to company and they just loved it. This is now a top go to recipe for the summer. Its better than cheese cake! Thank you Marcela for another wonderful recipe.

This is an AWESOME summer recipe, it took no time at all, and it tasted delicious. I did what someone else suggested about blending it longer and it set up properly. and I don't think it was too sweet but I did put a half a lime more for a little more of lime tanginess.
