Update: The butter is whisked together with the buttermilk, extract and eggs. We have added the missing ingredient to the directions for clarification regarding the process.

I printed the recipe and followed it but after pouring the batter over the fruit I was left with melted butter I didn't use. I used 12oz of blueberries instead of cherries. I think it could use more batter and wasn't very sweet. I liked it but my husband didn't.

Like other viewers, I wondered when the butter was to be added. I just left it out. It tested done at about 55 minutes. I used fresh bing cherries and it was delicious. Talk about easy!!!!

Didn't know what to expect, but didn't like it. I made it for dinner with friends and they all thought it was okay. I won't make it again - it was just a different texture.

I admit, I was confused so I decided to add the butter to the mix at the end. Then, I poured and put it in the oven and hoped I hadn't messed the whole...I didn't. It was great.

It was okay. I have no idea what the butter was for, I just added a little of it to the whole mix lol. I thought it turned out soggy, so if I ever make it again, I will use less juicy fruit or mix some cornstarch into the fruit and see if that helps.
