Not really impressed with this one. My pasta was not cooked in parts (mainly on some of the ends. The cooking method for the pasta was not the most effective for me. I liked the tomatoes in the dish, but mostly this dish was just too dry for me.

Update: On the show, Claire lightly toasted the pasta. We have added this technique to the instructions.

This was interesting way to make spaghetti. I used 1/2 broth 1/2 water, and about a cup more than suggested (used whole-wheat angel hair, could have been why?
Make sure to toast the noodles for a few minutes, and this needs constant stirring while adding broth to keep the noodles loose. Instead of mozzarella (which I suspected not might melt nicely I used parmesan. Needs a lot of herbs and seasoning in the end. Good overall.

The only thing I did not like about this recipe was the smoked mozzarella. It never got soft, just rubbery. The roasted tomatoes and cooking method for the noodles was awesome! I added some diced pancetta to the pan to brown first then added some diced onion and garlic and cooked until soft. I then removed the pancetta and onions and set aside, added the noodles to the pan to brown in the pancetta grease and then cooked according to the recipe above. After the noodles were done, I added back in the pancetta, onions, cheese and the roasted tomatoes. I finished it off with some chopped fresh basil. A definite keeper!

This recipe was a disaster. The pasta all clumped together. I was going to serve at a dinner party and I had to throw something else together at the last minute. If I was supposed to pre- toast the pasta, they should have written this in the recipe. I do not recommend this.

seen this recipe today .. then I was reading the reviews .. so many had trouble with it I decided to try it right away .. The only thing I changed was I put a bit of olive oil . in the bottom of the Pan before adding the pasta .. It turned out great ! after I could smell it getting a bit toasty and browned lightly .. I started adding the broth a cup at a time ..

Very easy, and delicious dish with clean flavors. I have lightned it up a bit while keeping all the flavor and making it low calorie and gluten free, the recipe follows:

Roasted Grape Tomatoes with Tangled Noodles for one:
Ingredients--- 2-1/2 tsp evoo, 1 cup grape tomatoes,1 tsp minced garlic, salt and pepper, splash of chicken stock, 1 bag tofu shiritaki noodles angle hair shaped, 2- smoked mozzerella cheese sticks (by weight watchers chopped into coins, dried italian seasoning

Follow the recipe except dont boil the noodles instead drain and dry them with paper towels

This entire recipe only had 270 calories

    -Happy cooking

I made this recipe and added applewood smoked bacon (from the associated pork recipe andused linguini fini as it is a sturdier noodle. It is so delicious! My husband has asked for it a number of times and my 2 yr old finishes her plate.

The grape tomato recipe was superb. The angel hair pasta - not so much. My noodles turned into a starchy blob which I had to throw out. Fortunately I had extra noodles that I simply boiled in a pot of chicken stock.

I saw part of the show and thought it sounded good...but there's no mention in the recipe of toasting the pasta first and it had been a while since I'd seen the show so I didn't remember that. Without that, not even 4 cups of stock plus a generous splash of sherry could unstick and un-gummy the pasta. My gorgeous home-grown grape tomatoes tasted good along with fresh basil and the smoked mozzarella, but the pasta was a sticky, starchy, nearly unedible mess despite constant stirring and extra liquid. Bummer. I don't think I'll try this again - I'd rather cook the pasta al dente then add the pasta into the tomato mixture (perhaps with some stock added and brought to a boil.
