I thought this was a great (slightly healthy and different side dish. I made the mistake of buying edamame in the shell and having to pinch each one out manually, but in the end, it was really good! I read the reviews after I made this and saw the notes about how greasy it turned out to be. I used a baster to ***** out all the fat in the pan from the bacon and it ended up being a lot less greasy. I did notice the second day after being refrigerated wasn't the best as the ingredients became a little soggy. All in all, great side dish and I will make again! Thanks, Debbie!

So yummy! Although I will cook the bacon first next time so I can drain off the grease. My hubby who begrudgingly eats veggies loved it! Definitely will be part of my regular recipe box.

Super easy recipe & it was a big hit with our Gourmet Poker group. Have made this twice & both times everyone asked for the recipe.

This was waaaay toooo greasy. Two TABLESPOONS sesame oil PLUS rendered bacon fat? I even scooped it onto paper towels to drain off some of the grease before serving. It has the potential to be as good as the other reviews say, but certainly consider reducing the sesame oil or frying and draining the bacon first. Otherwise the grease defeats the vegetables. I also would also suggest equal amounts of fresh corn to edamame. I gave it 3 stars because it seems the flavor is there minus all the oil and bacon fat which would also make it look more like the photo.

This was AWESOME!!!... I used frozen corn and edamame from Trader Joe's. I have never been a big fan of Lima Beans so the edamame was a great substitute. I didn't even have to put cheese into it like I do traditional succotash. Made a great side dish to the Chicke wrap that I had with it

WOW! This is an absolute WINNER! I used fresh organic ingredients (and turkey bacon and followed the recipe to a tee. My husband (who doesn't really enjoy vegetables said this recipe is a keeper. He even had a second helping I couldn't be happier with this delightful succotash.

Excellent side dish..Made a double serving and used a can of corn instead of from the cob.
