This recipe has potential. After reading reviews I decided to cook my pasta seperately. I browned my turkey before putting it in the crockpot and added a teaspoon of Dijon mustard. I also used broccoli and cheese sauce... boyfriend doesn't like cauliflower. After two and a half hours on high in the crockpot the texture was just fine. I'd cooked it for less time than recommended due to the "mush" complaints but another half hour wouldn't have hurt it. My one complaint about this recipe (other than the instruction to cook the pasta in the crockpot was the lack of flavor. It certainly didn't taste bad, but even though I seasoned my turkey with salt and pepper the dish just need more "oomph". Next time I'll add garlic and either hot sauce or paprika.

In terms of a low calorie mac and cheese option, this one is an incredible find. I loved how the sauce from the Green Giant was really taken advantage of as the pasta sauce. I was shocked that it was plenty to cover the pasta.
I didn't use a crock pot. And thought it tasted fine without I also used the broccoli and cheese instead of the cauliflower and cheese because I'm a big fan of broccoli.
I did microwave the laughing cow for a minute until it had the consistency of those velveeta packets in the boxed mac and cheese. And it was easy to stir it into the macaroni.
I guess I can't really compare this to some of the fancy mac and cheesees recipes Ive made in the past, loaded with milk, butter and diff kinds of cheeses.
If you are looking for the best tasting mac and cheese, this may not be the best choice. But if yuou are watching the calories, and still want mac & cheese, this one is perfect. You won't find a better calorie bargain.

This recipe has potential to be better but I agree with the other reviews that it should NOT be cooked in a crockpot. I cooked mine in a crockpot and it was mush and it lacked flavor.

Agreed using a crock pot isn't the best way to cook this dish. However the taste was great! My daughter loved it and since it is low-cal and low fat ...it is a winner! I have tried other HG recipes and they also were good. I will cook ahead and then bake as suggested by other viewers.

I also cooked everything ahead of time, mixed it together and then put it into the oven for about 30 minutes at 350 to get it all warm and cooked together. I also chopped up some hamburger dill pickles and put that on top which made it even better for me! Those of you who tried the crock pot method should try this instead!

This was absolutely delicious! I did not make it in the slow cooker though, I did the following
Sauteed half an onion (chopped in 1 teaspoon of olive oil and sprayed pan with Pam
Then added the ground turkey till cooked, added salt and pepper
Added the 2 Tbsp of ketchup and mixed
Prepared two frozen bags of cauliflower, broccoli and carrots with cheese sauce in microwave, then added to turkey and onion mixture
Separately cooked 1 and 3/4 cups of mini shell high fiber pasta then added to mixture
I added 4 laughing cow wedgies instead of 3, that was really all I added (1 extra

Easy but not very good. I like easy recipes in crockpot but after cooking it as directed for 7 hours, it came out like mush. The pasta was unidentifiable and I barely cooked it in the pot. Just 2 seconds in the hot water. I think I may try it again but leave the pasta out and add it cooked over pan at the very end. We ended up eating (my son and I like a dip with some nacho chips. Had good flavor but was more like a dip in the end.

DO NOT USE A CROCKPOT FOR THIS RECIPE! It was horrible! I cooked it for 7 hours on low like it said in the recipe, it was just like mush with burnt taste. The ground turkey had no flavor whatsoever. This was the first recipe that I have tried from HG and I am afraid to try another. I wish I had read the reviews first. Are they all this bad??

This was fantastic! I couldn't find the caul/ch, so I used broc., caul., and carr. with cheese sauce. It was oh so good! Even better sitting at room temperature. As far as using a crock pot, it was done in 3-4 hours. It was mushy, but oh so good! Yum, yum!!!! I will try more of hungry girl recipes. I will make this again, my family loved it!!!! So easy!!!!

This was just delicious! the only drawback i found was actually cooking it in the slow cooker. I only did 3hrs on high and it was pretty mushy. Next time I'm going to cook ingredients more separate and combine at the end. A bit more work but i think the result will be worth it!
