Simmered glaze for 40 or so minutes- never thickened, but reduced by half. Tasted strong on a spoon, but really good on fish and white rice. Misted fish w/ EVOO from oil mister and misted nonstick skillet w/ EVOO oil mister to cut the fat content. Could only get skin on salmon so cooked skin side down for 10 min. You can use any variety of veggies you want. I used shelled edamame, corn and red peppers w/ green onions. Really good, I wanted to lick my plate!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the flavor of this dish. Glaze took longer than 12 minutes to thicken up, and I added in a little corn starch, and was VERY potent. Somebody had mentioned to add a little soy sauce in with it, and THAT did the trick. Maybe half a tablespoon, a little less, I just winged it. I also squeezed some lemon over the salmon after I put the glaze on. I sauteed the veggies a little more to get them more crispy, and cooked a side of white rice as well. Husband liked it, and he's not big on salmon, and my 4 year old liked it as well. It's going on my recipe list now!

I haven't made the salmon before. But I have made the vegetables. I seen the recipe in Giada weeknight cookbook. It was super easy to make. And very delicious. I also added some brussels sprouts and carrots about 10 minutes before I added the edamame and snap peas.

Made this last night and was a total hit!! Substituted baby spinach and harvest grains for the veggies, the glaze gave it incredible flavor! Will absolutely make this again!! Thank you Giada!

I reduce the balsalmic for about 45 minutes instead of 12 minutes. it turned into a thick syrup and the dish was amazing!

This dish was just okay. I agree with some of the previous reviews that said the glaze was too strong. I followed the directions exactly and the glaze overpowered the whole dish. I did like the flavor mix of maple syrup, vinegar, garlic and dijon. I might add olive oil to those ingredients and try it as a dressing with cold salmon on mixed greens.

Loved this recipe! The flavor of the glaze was strong, but not overpowering. And keeping it at 2 tbsp. maple syrup ensured it wasn't too sweet at all. The whole family loved it, even the picky ones. My six year-old said 'this is the best salmon ever'!

I actually didn't love this recipe. Like a previous reviewer said, the glaze was too sweet for me. I prefer something with a little soy on my salmon. I served with white rice and edamame only. It was pretty good and really easy. While I was cooking, my house smelled like a restaurant. Delicious!
