I have watched the food network for years and used many of the recipes but this is the first time I have been compelled to write a review. I love sandwiches and am on a quest to find new and better ways to make them. I am so excited about Jeff's show and will definitely watch it closely. Oh, and by the way I just made this Focaccianini and it was AWESOME!!!

Truly a delicious sandwich and concept. Works will any rustic bread and "smelly" cheese. Have made the fig spread with fresh figs and with dried fig. Both were outstanding. Tried the same concept using fried dates and it was also very good. Mix and match your meats, cheeses, breads and spreads. A real winner!

Yummy. Try it with the fig spread, prociutto and brie.

Wow! What a new and different taste. We had it last evening on feshly baked focaccio, mortadello and fontinello from our favorite Italian grocery store with some red vino. This is an absolute must! I love your show and cannot wait to try the Chicago Italian Beef. I also made the Homemade Hot Giardiniero. Fantastic! THANK YOU Food Network for finding this great addition to your already great family!

Loved this, and also loved the figs as a side to a roasted pork loin later. It was a hit. Great job, Jeff. Your recipes get my imagination rolling. Welcome to Food Network. Love your show.

PERFECT combo of crunchy, sweet, salty, creamy. I didn't have a panini press or a bacon press so I used a small cast iron pan. I LOVE this show. Fun and informative w/ great food. PERFECT!

Although I thoroughly enjoyed it I gave it 4 stars because my husband said he didn't like the "sweetness" from the figs. I thought it went well with the salty asaigo cheese. Great taste!

I made this for my picky 16-year old. He's now made it twice for himself within a few days. The counterbalance between the sweetness of the figs, and the saltiness of the cheese is perfect. This has it all...creaminess from the mortadella, and crunch from the crust (we cut off the hard crust before grilling. We love your show. Congrats!
