My family loved this sandwich. Even my 7 and 9 year old girls enjoyed it. I love figs and thought it went so well with the cheese in this sandwich. I am taping the show each weekend and can't wait for the next episode! Thanks Sandwich King!!!!

Jeff, my wife and I cheered for you starting about half way into the season. We just watched your first show and you've already proven we made the right choice. You are very good and you are a regular recording on our DVR. To put that into perspective, you're the first NWS to achieve that. Keep up the good work.

Jeff, I truly hope you read the posts. So many of us are absolutely thrilled that you won. Please don't change, don't stop smiling, don't stop being our "next door neighbor", our "brother", our "cool dude" ... in other words, keep being humble. We're all wishing you the VERY BEST. Also, see if they can let you do just two sandwiches instead of three in each show. That way you'll have more time to explain your recipes and we'll have more time to write them down, including all the excellent tips you give. Guess what I made for lunch today? A fantastic sandwich! You rock, man! ALL THE BEST TO YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY !!!

Yay Sandwich King! We were rooting for you down here in Georgia! My husband has ALWAYS said that sandwiches are the perfect food and we were both so excited you won! My husband said he will Tivo your show regularly and we both loved your first episode. I am buying all the ingredients for BOTH sandwiches today and can't wait to try them. Wow..you've even got my hubby (Mr. Picky-Pants! willing to try fig spread! Wha????? Way to go Sandwich King ! By the way, as loyal Food Network viewers for over 10 years ( we remember when Emeril was new! I personally don't mind the lack of measurments given while you work your sandwich-magic. I know I will be printing out the recipe anyway, and I just watch the show to get excited about the recipes and get the "gist" of how they're prepared. I personally don't need to know if it's 1 tsp of salt or 1/2 tsp of salt etc.. Just enjoy watching you! Sandwiches are so approachable for everyone. Great concept!

I too ran right out and bought the ingredients for the focaccainini. Couldn't find the fontinella but got a good asiago. I've never bought mortadella before but found it easily and yum!! The sandwich was easy to make and very good. I also have the ingredients for the Chicago beef sandwich. I'm making that this week. I can't wait til the next episode of the Sandwich King!!!
