I've never been a big fan of mashed potatoes - until I tried this recipe. They are extremely rich - and sooo good! I didn't bake them - just made and served them. Dangerously yummy.

Sooo yummy, but so rich. : I felt a little guilty and used milk instead of heavy cream, and only used 1.5 sticks of butter. Was still very delicious.

This is a really great method to use as a time saver on busy cook days, especially holidays. I made them for thanksgiving and was really thankful to have one more task crossed off the list the day of. Not to mention, the texture and flavor is spot on!

What a great idea to make them into a casserole and do them ahead of time. They tasted soooo yummy!

I guess I'm going against the grain here, but I made this recipe as written and felt the potatoes were... average. Were they creamy? Yes. Were they flavorful? No. I know it's a pretty simple recipe, but if I'm eating all the cream, cheese & butter then I'd prefer there to also be some better flavor. A little extra salt helped, but I will not be making these again.

I'm making this for my mom's birthday dinner because she though that they was so good when i made them the first time. We made them for my families christmas dinner and my grandmother birthday get-together and i even doubled the recipes and they none left over.

I made these potatoes at Thanksgiving and didn't tell anyone I used a recipe. Everyone commented on them. They were a huge hit! Thanks Ree.

Simply delicious and true to it's name, extremely creamy. I might use low fat cream cheese next time just to see the difference.

One note: I preferred them right after mashing, I didn't really see the need to put them in the oven as they were a bit drier afterwards but this is why I gave it only 4 stars. Definitely was 5 stars before the oven though.
