This was absolutely fabulous! My 16-year old daughter and I loved it. I added roasted red pepper and substituted dijonaise for the mayo (because I don't like spicy. I will definitely make this again!

GOOD! I always see this on the menu in restaurants but never seem to order it. Now I've finally had one and I was pleasantly surprised! The mushrooms were nice and meaty and it felt like eating a good sized meal - except its so low in calories!!

I too opted to cut the calories even more. I sprayed it with zero calorie cooking spray instead of using olive oil which I thought was a great idea! I used mustard instead of mayo. And used fresh minced garlic from the bottle instead of garlic powder. I also cut the sodium a tad by omitting the salt.

I think the Hungry Girl recipes are so creative in the way healthy ingredients are used unconventionally. I loved the idea of using low calorie string cheese for the cheese.

I didn't really encounter any issues making this recipe, only that the mushroom was like TWICE the size of hamburger bun and I didn't get the string cheese to melt all the way. But it didn't hurt the taste of this dish at all.

Thanks for the delicious and HEALTHY recipe!!

surprisingly this turned out pretty good. I lightened it up. I lightly sprayed mushroom with cooking spray, used dijonnaise instead of mayo and didn't butter sandwich thins.
