So easy and low calorie. I added small amount of pecans and golden raisins and used no graham crackers or whipped cream. Boy, this is
a winner!!

This was really, really easy & really, really good! I filled my mug to the top with cubed apples & it cooked down to the perfect amount. I'll definitely make this again!

I love this, but next time I make this I will need to add more red hots. I also made an alternative version without red hots. I made it like you would a regular apple pie. I diced up the apple, added 1-2 tablespoons of water, added some nutmeg and ground cinnamon and cooked till soft. Add the graham cracker and whipped topping and that was also good. But I cooked mine on the stove instead of the microwave.

This was surprisingly delicious! It was very easy to prepare and definitely a big hit with everyone. I couldn't find red hots except in the baking aisle (very expensive. So....I ordered them online from the Ferrara Pan website and bought them in bulk at a much better price. Thanks for this recipe!

After trying the horrible Dreamy Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge, I was skeptical about trying this one, but it sounded really good. We were very pleasantly surprised - it was quite yummy, and incredibly easy to make. The recipe calls for a medium apple, but I had large ones, and I thought a large one would be too much, so I divided it into 2 recipes. Mistake. The apple will actually cook down to a lesser volume, and the whole large one would have been fine.
Someone mentioned they had a hard time finding the red hots. We initially looked in the candy aisle, but finally found them in the baking aisle along with the cake/cookie decorations (colored sugar, silver "BB" balls, chocolate sprinkles, etc..

Wow! This is really simple and tasty. Plus it's about 1/4 of the calories in a regular piece of apple pie. It's rare that I run out and try something like this but I couldn't resist. And, I'm glad I tried it. Big hit with the whole family!
