I made this following the recipe as written and using poached chicken breast obtained via RR's poaching technique. This dish is very tasty but sweet. This version of the BBQ sauce recipe omits the 2 tablespoons of brown sugar RR uses in the video and other presentations of this sauce. The slaw is good as a topping or on the side. It too is also sweet. The BBQ chicken mixture is even better the next day.

Rachael rocks again. I've been cooking for 65 years and tried all sorts of BBQ sauces, including my homemade ones. This one will be no.1 in my recipe file. And as the other "review" discovered, the brown sugar was left out of the recipe. Hooray for Ms. Ray.

I will never buy bottled BBQ sauce ever again. This is the best BBQ sauce on the planet and so easy to make! This recipe is fantastic but I have come to expect no less from any of her recipes. This will be one of my go to recipes for sure!

Very tasty. I substituted B&B for the bourbon and adjusted my sugars accordingly. It came out great both ways. Excellant recipe Ms Ray.

Excellent recipe, would work really well with pulled pork or turkey, too. You can't distinctly taste the yams in the sauce if you are worried about texture. The coleslaw adds an excellent crunch to the sandwich. One thing - the directions say to add brown sugar to the barbeque sauce, but the ingredients don't list it, so I just threw two table spoons in. Great recipe Rachel!
