I just finished making a bath of these. They are delicious. The first batch I baked for 9 min and when I went to check on them, they were very dark. They ended up being very crispy. The next several batches I baked for 7 minutes and I found they were perfect then. They spread out alot and this recipe makes a lot of cookies. I used more than half of the dough and have around 30 cookies already. I'm going to refrigerate the dough for a couple of days and then bake up the rest.

I finally got around to making these cookies, and they were delicious. You really have to mound up the measuring cup with the malt to get that real malty flavor. I could only get 7 cookies on a 1/2 sheet pan. They spread out quite a bit and look a little sad when they come out of the oven, but you don't notice it when you're dunking them in milk!
I would recommend that you start out with the least amount of cooking time. The cookies spread so thin that they could burn. I baked mine for 8 minutes. Give them a try. They're a little different.

Overall they were good but I reduced the heat to 350 so they didn't burn. Wouldn't change a thing!

My husband liked these, he mentioned they were better than the flaxseed ones on this website, but I think he still likes alton browns chocolate chip cookie recipe better. Nice change, but these cookies did turn out very flat and unappealing.

These are the perfect cookies and I love malt! My fiance loves these so we have to be careful not to eat all in one sitting! Thanks Ree for all your great recipes. I look forward to your show every Saturday morning!

Yes, there is something about these cookies - must be the malted milk powder. I only gave them four stars because of the appearance - they are just too spead out and flat - wish there was a way to have them not spread so much. But, even thought they are flat, they stay chewy and taste great.
