I had the same problem with the thin batter and they turned into flat pieces of bland cornbread. I love food network and this is the first magazine I have purchased and the first recipe I tried. I hope to have better luck with others.

I really wanted to like this recipe! My batter came out like pancake batter, spreading thin. Maybe it needed baking powder to puff it up when baked? For me it tasted to plain, needed more sweetness or spicy flavor. I might try it again adjusting/adding ingredients. Usually I love the recipes from Food Network Magazine, but this one I was disappointed in :(

They tasted good could have used a little more spice. The main issue was that the dough turned into pancakes when baked, something was missing that would make them rise. Should it have had self rising flour?

I thought these turned out great! I love anything with corn! These were very easy to make and the perfect size and taste.

I was also disappointed with this recipe. The flavor was bland -- really needed either sweetness or savory or something... I do not recommend this one.

Something is not right with this recipe. Came out like pancake batter and I followed exactly. Needs moe flour or less eggs. Disappointed, as normally all recipes tried from the magazine are excellent.
