These cookies were good but nothing spectacular and I will not make them again....I have many others that are far better. Very easy though and you can put anything you like in the center - we used M&Ms, Malt balls, marshmallows, etc. Ina has many other recipes that are much better than these though.

I made these cookies and they turned out great. I put the red & white stripped Hershey's kiss in the middle after baking and they are a wonderful Holiday cookie.

Every year I make chocolate crinkles for my mother, they are one of her favorites. This year she saw these cookies on the magazine cover and asked about them so I tried them.
These are wonderful, moist, not too sweet, nice chocolate flavor. I used drained marachino cherries instead of candied which moisted the powdered sugar a bit in the center but other then that no issues.
These are definetly on the make again list.

When I got my Food Network Magazine I saw these and I had to make them. So delicious!! It was the perfect amount of chocolate and I put 4 chocolate chips in the center. I plan to make these again, in the next couple of days, for Christmas with family!

The cookies taste wonderful. Not sweet at all. I added some raspberry preserves in the middle and it tasted delicious with the chocolate!

The cookies are delicious, but if it this recipe makes 3 dozen, then I'm a Smurf. Figure on 2.5 doz if yield is important.

I baked some up using peppermint kisses in the center. By the way, I tried putting some in before baking, and some immediately after. Both methods work, but I would probably push them in after baking in future (hold their shape/appearance better.

My husband's response to a test cookie was, "I hope you're making more..." (meaning additional batches of dough. Pretty good vote of confidence from Captain Chocolate!
