Way easier than it sounds and probably the best green bean-mushroom combo I have ever had! I used Crimini mushrooms -baby portabellas-, low fat sour cream and fat free half and half. It was a huge hit at my thanksgiving table. Thank you Guy!! I did not do the shallots on top, but nobody missed them. The parmesan was perfect on top!!

I have no idea what I must have done wrong with this recipe cuz it just didn't work for me. The gravy, while tasty, was really runny despite the addition of the required amount of flour. I was glad I had invited non-foodies for Thanksgiving cuz I gave them the leftovers. No one in my family would eat them. Love ya Guy, but this just flopped.

I'm sorry to say that I thought that this was a big disappointment. It really lacked flavor.

This was phenomenal! Everyone loved it for Thanksgiving, including some true foodies. Only thing I will do next time is add some more cayenne for a little bit more kick. Great job, Guy!

What a hit! I made this for Thanksgiving, and it was wonderful. Thanks for the recipe, Guy. I would give it 6 stars if I could.

Very good! Gravy is not salty! The flavors from the mushrooms and shallots are perfect.

I Have made this 3 times now and I will never ever make the recipe from a can of green beans and a can of mushroom soup. I am not a fan of sour cream so I just add more cream to make up for it. It is so delicious!

Amazing!!! Husband is not a fan of cooked green beans. Never had the casserole because the family always used can green beans. He and the kids loved it and went back for thirds.... I did use fat free Half/half and sour cream. I also cheated and used french's fried onions.
