Just made this for Christmas Eve tomorrow; mmmmmm yum! Sweet and spicy goodness! I just made half the recipe and it turned out great. Just a hard sticky pan to clean but otherwise awesome!!!

This was a great recipe. We made it for teachers and friends and received great reviews. We have made it twice since. The spice was just right for our Texas taste. I used parchment paper to aid in clean up. I think this is definitely a keeper recipe for us.

I took my queue from the reviewers and reduced the oven temp to about 330. I also transferred the hot nuts to another oiled baking sheet to cool, that seemed to help them from sticking together. Next time I make them - which will be very soon - I will cut down on the chipotle powder just a bit. They were a little too spicy for our taste. Otherwise a terrific treat to have around during the holidays.

The recipe was easy, however, the first time I made it, I wasn't thrilled with the overall taste of the nuts when they were done cooking. The temperature was too hot and the mixture subtly started to overcook. The second time I made the recipe, I set the oven at 275 degrees, cooked it a bit longer, and they came out nicely.

Mine burned! I tossed it half way through but before the timer went off smoke was pouring from my oven. I think the temp is a little high and the mixture was a little too wet because there was excess liquid burning. I tried a few pieces and I could taste the kick with the chipotle. I will try this again and hope to learn from my mistakes.

First I wish the recipe wasn't so big. I only wanted to make enough for our family to snack on and had to cut it into thirds. I think the 350 degrees is too hot as well. They caramelize quickly and require frequent stirring. I would reduce the syrup and veg oil as the nut mixture was was really wet even after roasting. The flavor is good, just need to tweak the ingredients to suit your quantity and preference for wet/dryness.

These recipe is extremely easy to follow and the taste is amazing. I had a party where the bowls were emptied quickly. This is now going to be a staple for parties and get together times
