Very easy and quite tasty! I like that it's made with brown sugar instead of corn syrup.

While it was easy to make and very tasty, it got quite thick as it started to cool. I had to end up adding more half and half and heating it up a bit. I've made other recipes of caramel sauce and they were easy to make as well. I found the instructions on this one lacking a little; i.e. they said to "whisk gently" while cooking; also were we supposed to start the timing before it came to a boil or after? I think the constant whisking caused it to thicken too much. I'll try making it again in the future doing it a little differently.

Wonderful and tasty! Another great use for this is with Ree's cinnamon rolls. Just pour over caramel sauce before you bake them.

I made this caramel sauce & Ina Garden's caramel sauce to try them side by side. Ree's sauce had much more depth of flavor and was fantastic..............and a lot easier!

I've tried to make caramel sauce in the past and it never came out right..( it always tasted burnt .....However, this recipe was so easy and it came out perfect. I had it on flat apple pie last night and on ice cream today yummy.

We entertained last night and I made everything from this episode. Right before we were seated for dinner, I put the butter, brown sugar and half and half into a saucepan and covered it with NO heat. As people were finishing the main course, I turned the heat on low, and the timing was about perfect! Apple pie, vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce drizzled over it...YUM!
