This was awesome we loved it and it was sooooo easy.I didn't use the peppers because I am not much for the heat. We didn't care for the slaw so much I am very touchy about slaw I think most people would like it. I am very much in love with KFC'S slaw.

Holy cow cones! My husband and I are from the Heart of Dixie of Alabama..now nesting near the Sandhills of Nebraska. This is THE BEST pork recipe ever cooked in the oven. Thanks so much Ree.. you have the BEST recipes ever. (sorry Paula, and Rachel. It is clean tasting and I know that my friends will LOVE it. I love reading your blogs and trying your recipes. We have a variety of vegetables from our garden to cook with, which makes the flavors pop even more. My c-girl hat off to you girl !

Like many of you, I saw this being made on the show and decided to make it Sunday. Since I knew in advance that my family wouldn't want it too spicy, I only used about 1/3 of the peppers. I also used Coca-Cola because that's what we had on hand and half of the brown sugar. I purchased a 8lb Boston Butt. It took about 7 hours to cook. But WOW!!!!! was it worth the wait! The flavor of the meat is so good that you honestly don't need sauce and it is so moist and tender. This is a new family favorite in my house!

I made this and we loved it! However, I made three small changes. One, I only used the 7 ounce can of peppers and it was plenty hot. Any more would have been way too much. Second, I used some pork rub on the meat in addition to the salt and pepper, Third, after taking out the roast I shredded it, strained the juice, and then put the shredded meat back in the liquid in a warm (200 degree oven for about an hour so the meat throughly soaked up the tastes YUM!

I watched the show on Saturday also and decided I would try this recipe. Very easy to make and the meat came out perfect. I agree with the others, it was very spicy. Will make again but without peppers. I think you deserve a 5 rating because you warned us in the title. SPICY POP PULLED PORK.

Yum!! As in other people's posts, I could only find the 7 oz. can of chipotles. That's okay because it was plenty spicy for this New England girl. Hubby and kids loved it, too. (My kids turned their noses up at it at first, but I stuffed the meat into finger sandwich rolls and made mini subs. I made it last night and tonight it is all gone. I will definitely be making this again. Nice job, Ree!

I used beef for this recipe and followed the recipe as written. I cooked it in a crock pot for 7 hours and the meat it falling apart tender. However, the meat doesn't have much flavor except for the overwhelming spiciness. Neither my husband nor I like it and regrettably we're throwing the entire roast out. I wouldn't try this recipe again.

Couldn't wait to try out this new recipe since we love pulled pork. I was hesitant about putting in all the chipotle peppers so I cut back a tiny bit. The meat was fall apart tender and juicy and delicious, however next time I will definately cut back on the peppers.I've since realized that Rhee used a whole pork butt and most of us do not...that's why the intense heat. With that being said this is the best pulled pork I've made, and I have tried a lot of recipes out there! Everyone love, love, loved it too!!!

I would make this again, but with some tweaks. I wish the recipe had been more specific about the amount of meat--what I found at the store seemed too small, so I asked the butcher, and he gave me a much larger piece, based upon how many servings it made. But without the butcher, it would have been total guesswork.
It filled the house with a wonderful aroma, so I expected it to be very flavorful. I actually found it a little bland, other than the spiciness, which was too much for me. Maybe the heat just overwhelmed the other flavors. But the meat itself was very moist and the dish was very easy to prepare. I'll just try adding a little something else (more brown sugar? next time to make the sauce more flavorful and cut back on the peppers--with those changes, I think it will be great. And, having said all that, my friends who ate it all said they really enjoyed it--so maybe I'm a spice wimp:
