These cupcakes were absolutely amazing. I don't usually follow directions exactly but after reading reviews I decided to and they came out perfect. I used cake flour and unsweetened Dutch processed cocoa powder (which is more expensive. Others said it was messy so I only filled 1/2 full and when baked they didn't come quite to the top of the paper liners so I had to frost with the ganache instead of dipping. I also used salted peanuts to have the salty/sweet taste. It was a time consuming process but if you know that going into it and clean as you go it isn't bad. Will make them again everyone loved them.

Love this recipe! Its' time consuming but the results are worth all the effort. My family & co-workers always ask me to make this - the cupcake is moist and the filling is devine. I've even made this into a cake and it worked out beautifully as well. Definitely a recipe to plan for and have some time to do. I would suggest to clean your kitchen as you go as its easier than cleaning everything you will use at the very end.

These are so nice and rich. Very moist! Great flavor, perfect amount of peanut butter. This recipe did end up making 22 cupcakes.

Everybody loved these cupcakes at my teenage son's birthday. Having read the reviews before starting, I made sure to keep cleaning the kitchen while working on the recipe. Following reviewer's advice, I filled the liners halfway and ended up with 24 medium sized cupcakes. I only made half the peanutbutter filling and it was enough for 18 cupcakes. Same with the ganache. My son said the filling really made the cupcake and the ones that had a lot of filling were the best. So next time I will not reduce the filling quantity.

OMG these were the BEST cupcakes ever. My granddaughters and I wanted to make something with Peanut Butter and chocolate. I did see the level this recipe was but we had a blast making them. The girls took turns measuring out the ingredients & beating the batter & of course dipping the cupcakes into the ganache. I had to clean as we went but my girls did not mind helping.
When we ate them we wished we had made more. The next day we did and each of them took some with them. I saved 4 for my self.
Thank you it was awesome to see their faces as the cupcakes came together.

I agree with others that the amounts are off. I halved the recipe and made 9 cupcakes. I actually quartered the peanut filling and STILL had extra. I had extra ganache, as well. I did not have the issue of the cupcakes getting too big; I used regular flour and subbed one tablespoon of flour with one tablespoon of corn starch. That worked perfectly.
I made only two ingredient changes: egg beaters for the eggs and fat free milk. This may also contribute to my not having any issues with the cupcakes running over.
Though these are delicious, they are a whole lot of work AND mess as others said earlier. I'm a very neat cook ( clean as I go and I still had quite a mess on my hands. Just for that, I probably won't make these again.....OR I'll substitute the cake mix with a box cake mix to make it less labor intensive.
