I'm always looking for a better chocolate chip cookie recipe and I think I've found it. Yummy! I only had light brown sugar so I added a tbsp of molasses. Baked at 350 {because my oven tends to burn} for 12 minutes. Definitely refrigerate dough overnight for best results.

Amazing cookies! These were so delicious, my husband couldn't stop eating them. I ended up using 1/4 cup less sugar than the recipe called for and they were just right. This will be my go to choc-chip cookie recipe from now on. Oh, make sure you factor in the type of pan. I used a dark cookie sheet and 12 minutes ended up being too long. I adjusted the time to 10 mins and they were perfect.

Definitely the BEST recipe chocolate chip cookies. Once I baked without the "chill" time; results were not as described. It is very important to chill the dough as stated. I keep a bag of formed uncooked dough in the freezer for unexpected guests -- especially grandchildren.

These cookies are AMAZING!!! My mom and sister who don't even like chocolate chip cookie that much loved them! These cookies are chewy and they smell fabulous! They don't taste like the typical chocolate chip cookie that you get from the super market, they stay chewy and they smell great!!!

Like a few of the others, my cookies came out flat, greasy and crisp. I was very careful to make sure I had exact measurements. I used fresh eggs from my chickens and made sure my baking powder was fresh. I reduced baking time to 8 minutes, which made the following batches edible. I'm thinking it may be an altitude issue since I live at 3,400'. I'm going to try again with the suggested additional 1/2 c flour and 1/2 stick less butter and see if I can't get these a little more chewy/cakey like the picture suggests.

Yes, perfect. After years of messing up the Tollhouse recipe and having no idea why (! cookies came out flat and greasy every time, no matter what I did differently I tried this one. Finally found a chocolate chip recipe that works for me and I'm not letting it go.
