Made these growing up as a kid. I'm so glad to see it being shared with others. I always thought it was strange when other kids didn't have these while camping. One of my best childhood memories. You can get very creative with filling ideas too!

wow great! followed the tip to cut a wedge in the banana. I used chocolate & pb chips. cut werthers caramel in half and crumbled cinnamon graham crackers. Definently will make again. Could eat the whole bunch!

I loved this recipe. It was super easy and great dessert for family and friends. I will make this again when I have company. It looks impressive and I can make it ahead of time then I just pop in the oven for about 30 mins.

We used to make these in Girl Scouts many years ago. A suggestion - instead of just one slit down the length of the banana, make two, angling the knife so you're cutting a wedge out of the banana. Leave the skin attached at the bottom of the banana. Lift that back and lift the wedge out of the banana. Put all your goodies down in and then replace the wedge and bring the skin back up to cover before wrapping in the foil.
