This dessert is quite tasty, almost makes you feel like you are being healthy. I am not a big baker and found this recipe rather hard. I had a difficult time keeping the stiff peaks in the egg whites while adding the hot water/syrup. Other than that, I would totally make it again.

Wonderfully Light, Lemony, dessert. It was different in that she added cream of tartar after whipping the egg whites to a soft peak but all in all delicious. I served it in martini glasses and ate while we watched the Academy Awards. Totally impressed my family. Thanks Giada!

This was a deliciously light-as-air lemon dessert that was extremely satisfying. It is hard to not have chocolate as a dessert, but this was refreshing. I gave the recipe four stars because it is different from her recipe on the show, where she added 1/8 teaspoon of cream of tartar after whipping the egg whites to soft peaks. In addition, the recipe omitted the 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract that she also added to the meringue at the same time as the lemon juice. I accidentally put in the entire stick of butter instead of 6 tablespoons for the topping, but it still turned out okay. I compensated by adding a bit more sugar. All in all, pretty delicious.
