I never write review, but this was fantastic. I did add three egg yolks to the red sauce and the beat the egg whites stiff and added to the white sauce. Will be making this dish many times. Thank you Melissa.

This is delicious! Followed the recipe exactly. We have left-overs & I'm guessing it's one of those dishes that may even be more tasty tomorrow.

I followed the recipe exactly, and it was amazing. Everyone LOVED it. The only thing I would change is I would add more potatoes, more eggplant, and maybe a little more meat. Overall it was incredible and I will be making this again.

    Thanks Melissa!

Melissa, I have been wanting to try a Moussaka recipe for quite a while now. After watching the show last weekend, I just had to try your recipe. OMG!! This was absolutely delicious!!! I made this for family night so I used just a little bit more than your recipe recommends. There was nothing left. I think someone even sopped up the juice left in the baking dish! My son was disappointed there was none to take home. The only change I made was adding Provolone cheese to the top layer. We love our cheese! Thank you so much for such an easy, inexpensive way to make a Greek classic. I love your show and look forward to more recipes!

Halfway through the preparation of this dish, I thought it just wasn't worth it and it was going to taste awful. I used broccoli instead of eggplant (as did another reviewer I used my usual white sauce recipe, which was too thin; I used russett potatoes instead of red; it took too long and too many steps to prepare. I wasn't sure about the wisdom of mixing cinnamon with ground beef. When it was ready and cooled enough to taste, I was amazed at how delicious it was. A wonderful comfort food. I will make it again.

Seemed very bland to me. I could have used more flavor. I think the eggplant should have been salted and let the water drain out. Mine was very watery and no flavor. The bechamel sauce would have been better by adding eggs. These are the changes I will try if I ever want to face all that clean up again. The prep time was way too long. Too much clean up.

Great plate of Moussaka! This is the first time trying a Greek recipe, it was rather easy. I am all about saving money but it cost me a little more than suggested. However, it was definitly worth every penny. Besides my family of 4 had the pleasure of eating leftovers. So in reality we had two meals for less than $10.00 now that's a bargin!!

I am a new fan of Greek recipes. The spices in the meat are a new flavor and I was pleasantly surprised. I knew the eggplant and potatoes would absorb the bechemel, but I used half the recipe and it was delicious! I wills definitely make this again. A big group casserole. Thank you Melissa!
