The dressing is so good ( and so easy!!! We added 1/2 of an avocado which added another dimension to the salad - certainly not needed. I used a whole wheat pasta to boost the health of the dish. Leftovers for lunch the next day was amazing! Highly recommend this one!!

Really delicious dressing. I did add a little Dijon to make it a bit creamier. We have a vegetarian in the house, so I split the recipe. Half with bacon, half with chopped hard boiled eggs. Amazing, everyone was happy. I'm pretty sure any favorite veggies would work here. I will keep this dressing in the fridge always!

To save on prep time, I used a bag of romaine/iceberg lettuce mix (which I chopped smaller and also used cherry tomatoes (quartered. Love the dressing!

DELICIOUS! I also agree that the prep time takes a bit more than stated. Made this for dinner one night and the family LOVED it! The dressing is really delicious too! Definitely one I'll keep coming back to!

This salad is wonderful. I made it without the pasta because it was accompanying a pasta dish for my dinner party. I also added fresh corn and English cucumbers. Everyone raved about it. I can't wait to make it again.

For anyone who is familiar with the Portillo's chain and likes their chopped salad, this recipe tastes identical to Portillo's -- it is excellent! One word of caution, however, this recipe says the prep time takes only 15 minutes and I found the prep time to be closer to 1 hour, with all the ingredients that need to be chopped.

This crisp, salty-sweet salad is the hit of every party, cookout and dinner. From the bacon and the blue cheese, to the fantastic dressing which everyone asks about, it's a winner. Friends ask me to bring it again and again. It's one of those things that guys take a taste of to be polite because hey, it's SALAD. And then they go back for seconds and thirds because it's an over the top, crunchy creamy delight. Jeff makes it look so easy because it is. It is simple to make but has so many layers of flavors it will knock your socks off.
