Just made this for husbands birthday for tomorrow having family for dinner
A lot of steps but looks amazing
Also made the chocolate curls but they were pretty small I think I didn't roll out thin enough before freezing
But they will be fine for topping it
Husband is a chocoholic. so he will be very pleases!
I love to bake.
Thankyou I love watching your show more than any others!

Very,very tasty and soooo easy! This was indeed a birthday cake for my 14 year old daughter. It is easy enough that my 12 and 14 year old daughters could have pretty much made it by themselves with ease!

It's does seem like you would be overwhelmed with the chocolate but your not. I think the cream in the frosting is just enough to cut through so you are not over powered! Love it!

only have three things to say... A-MAZ-ING!!! Okay, have to admit the 4 layers is a bit much unless you're feeding an army, but I have made it with just half the cake recipe and it's wonderful. I've also used this recipe to make cupcakes and even filled them with the Classic Red Velvet Frosting recipe. Another AMAZING treat.

I made this recipe as cupcakes, I used the same cooking time but filled the wrappers almost to the top. The cake does not rise much, I don't think it's meant to, but filling the cupcake wrappers creates a nice little dome.

The cake was amazing. Best chocolate cake I've ever had! I could easily eat it alone. The frosting was bitter and not a good consistency for spreading on cupcakes. I will try again with a chocolate butter cream, but this will be my go to chocolate cake recipe.

Amazing chocolate cake! I made it a few days ago for my son's 4th birthday and everyone absolutely loved it! I halved the recipe and it came out great! By far my favorite chocolate cake!

Made this for my husbands birthday 3 days ago! Fantastic and it is because it is not overwhelmingly sweet....it is just a deep rich chocolate flavor. Icing is nice and light. You might think that it would dense but it is light and melts in your mouth. Highly recommend this one! Crowd pleaser for sure!

Four words: BEST CHOCOLATE CAKE EVER.
I also halved the ingredients and made a two layer cake for my dad's birthday. Everyone said it was the best chocolate cake they've ever tasted, and my yummiest cake (and I bake a lot. :
Will do it again for sure. Super easy too.

This cake is so easy to make, tastes delicious and is a real show stopper! Being a four-layer cake, it is quite impressive. I will make it again soon.
