The ONLY reason I am not giving this 5 stars is b/c it's a little on the sweet side. I know it's ice cream and molasses cookies, but I think that next time I will cut back on some sugar in the ice cream, and the brown sugar/molasses in the cookies. That's a lot of sweet, and then you roll it in turbinado!! But I LOVE molasses, and that's exactly what these cookies taste like. Right now the ice cream is in the machine and I can't wait to combine them. But I've already tasted the ice cream mixture and it's delicious. Might put a bit more ginger in next time, as she suggested on the show.

Annie Ann knocks it out of the park again! This is creamy, lush, velvety, spicy best ice cream ever! Definitely make the cookies to go with, just delicious. The last batch i left in a little longer so they were darker to give them a little more bitterness and a little less chew. Yum-a-rooski love, love, love!

This ice cream was literally phenomenal! It was the first ice cream I've ever made and after seeing Anne make this on TV this past weekend, I decided to use her help and tips in being successful with my first time ice cream making. The ginger was my favorite. Even if you don't like ginger, try it here. The sugar balances the taste and really makes the ice cream stand out with an interesting flavor. My ice cream churned in my machine for 30 minutes. I put it in the freezer in one of my plastic stock containers until I was ready to use it. Leave the ice cream in the freezer for at least 2 hours. I think I'll make it the day before next time since it does take a while to really freeze up. I did make the molasses cookies and those to we're excellent. They reminded me of the Holidays!
Thanks Anne for helping me in my first ice cream experience!

I only made the ice cream (not the cookies and OMG it is great! I actually substituted Splenda for the sugar and you can't even tell. This ice cream is a keeper - thanks Anne!!!
